You want to give your wedding a more personal touch but don’t know where to start? These seed Pillow Boxes favors are the ideal means by which to express gratitude to your guests for participating in the celebration of your special day. Because the paper itself contains seeds that can be planted and grown, once they have finished eating the treat that is inside the box, they can plant it and grow wildflowers.
Following up on last week’s post about ideas for coral and pink weddings, we created this project using coral and pink seed paper.
We used real flowers that had a color scheme that went well with the Pillow Box Packaging as shown in the image on the left, which you can access here. On the right, we made colorful seed paper confetti by punching flowers out of craft paper with flower-shaped punches. The seed papers in marigold yellow and tangerine are a nice complement to the coral and pink boxes. The confetti was used to embellish the boxes, but you are more than welcome to use it to decorate your tables or give it to your guests to throw after the ceremony if you so like. Check out our ready-made plantable seed paper confetti if you like the concept but don’t have the time to produce your own plantable seed paper confetti.
Ideas for Wedding Favors Packaged in Winter Pillow Boxes
Even though winter is the furthest thing from anyone’s mind right now, all of you brides who are planning your weddings for the winter months need to take a look at these pillow box favors that have a winter theme. We made them using our stone grey and purple seed paper, and we embellished them with lustrous eggplant and silver ribbon.
Using snowflake craft punches in a variety of sizes, we created our own unique seed paper confetti, just like we did with the summer pillow boxes. When we were making the confetti, we utilized our white, dove grey, pastel lavender, and purple seed paper. We added some wire ribbon that had plastic gems connected to it that we purchased at Michaels. The wedding had a gorgeous winter theme, so we thought it needed a little bit of dazzle. Use your imagination, and don’t forget to have fun!

Some Suggestions for the Contents of the Pillow Boxes
Candies or pretzels wrapped in chocolate should be some of the small snacks that go inside the box. You could also choose to leave unique notes of greeting for each of the guests, small objects such as a gift card, or light items such as hand-selected tea sachets or small bags of coffee. We just got back from a wedding where the bride and groom had these pillow box packaging stationed by the candy buffet so that guests could fill their own boxes with their preferred candies and chocolates.
