Let’s be honest, we all love projecting onto each other what we deem the “right” way to do things. But we need to recognise and understand that everyone is on their own path, including ourselves.
Their lessons are not yours to learn, nor are yours theirs.
The only way we can stop judging others for their choices is by embracing our own and understand that our fear of others stems from our inability to accept ourselves, our wants, desires and dreams.
How can we give ourselves permission to just do what we want?
Figure out your true wants and desires
Ignore the mind’s chatter to try to do things in a certain way or that which society expects from you.
- What do YOU want?
- What calls you?
- What lights a fire in your belly?
- What motivates you even if it makes no sense to yourself or others?
- What frightens and exhilarates you at the thought of it materialising?
This is key to feeling sustained, happy, fulfilled and going in the direction of growth. What lights you up?
Accept them fully
Don’t try to change them or adjust them to make them more presentable to the world.
Accept and honor your true desires, even if it’s just a whisper to yourself.
I used to have PR versions to all my answers to incoming small talk at parties and when meeting new people. But it’s tiring and leaks energy from what you want to do.
Just accept that which you want to do or maybe are even doing and just put it out there when you are ready. Accept and take ownership.
Have faith that they are meant for you
The mere fact that you deeply desire it IS the intuitive sign in itself that it is meant for yours for the taking.
What does that mean? That the moment you pursue your true wants, the universe will conspire with you to help make them happen and come alive.
That money is waiting for you. The job is waiting for you. That dream is waiting for you to take action.
