Almost a year since tokyo jihen revived the band in the new year of 2021, the jazz-rock band brings you the music videos for Futsu Dake Toho (仏だけ徒歩) from their upcoming greatest hits album Sogo (総合).
Laced with wah-wah guitar wails and turbocharged with retro keyboards, the bands are dripping in exaggerated 70s fur hats and clout goggles. Even with dorky mismatched clothes, you can’t help but take the nerds seriously with their technical funkalicious melodies and instrumentals. Wait until the end for the reveal of their delicious black outfits.
The best-of album Sogo is due out on December 22, and although we do not currently know the tracklist, we’re aware that the release will contain 30 songs across two CDs. Each disc will feature a new song and all old songs have been remastered by engineer Uni Inoue.

Tokyo Jihen (東京事変 Tōkyō Jihen?), also known as Tokyo Incidents, is a Japanese rock band formed by Ringo Sheena, after leaving her solo career. The band’s debut single “Gunjō Biyori” was released in September 2004, and they ended activities in February 2012. The band sold 2.3 million albums, singles, and DVDs. The band reunited and released a new single on January 1, 2020.
