No matter how cliched it sounds, we cannot escape this fact. We, people around us, things around us, situations we find ourselves in are constantly inconstant. We may not feel this change happen every day, but one day will come where we will sit and wonder — “How and when did all this happen?”
So what can we do about it?
- We need to learn how not to take everything too seriously or personally.
Doing this will only hurt us as we cannot change what happened to us or what someone did to us. What we can do, instead, is take responsibility for what we do next.
2. We need to laugh at our mistakes, let go of them and move on.
Wallowing in your misery helps no one, especially not you. The quicker you get up and get going, the better it is for you and your health.
3. We need to keep life simple.
There’s no need to over-analyze, over-complicate, or blame others when people, things, and situations change. You’ll be wasting precious time on something that doesn’t exist anymore.
4. We need to learn from our past to better plan our future.
When something changes in your life, it’s an opportunity to learn. Learn what you can to make better plans for the future and be more alert of any new changes.
5. We need to remember that the biggest obstacle in our way is us.
Staying stagnant, complaining, or worrying about why things can’t be like they used to be will only harm you. Don’t let ego or nostalgia come in the way of progress in your personal and professional life.
6. We need to trust ourselves.
With the change comes fear. That is quite normal. But if we let these fears turn into limiting beliefs, then we are in trouble. We need to trust ourselves and know that we can make it through any kind of obstacle.
7. We need to enjoy the process.
Change means now we have to do things differently. Instead of crying and cribbing about it, we need to learn to love the process. Only then can we hope to achieve something good. If the process is still feeling like a pain in the bum, it means you haven’t found the right process for You.
